The Story of Bob Hest

Bob Hest is a painter from Minneapolis. His work is in the collections of Vogue, Columbia University, and numerous private collections in the Midwest, New York City, and Martha's Vineyard.

I grew up on the edge of the prairie in Western Minnesota. The big skies, the wildlife, and the expansive room for imagination shaped me as a painter.
I owe my mother, Beverly, for her discerning eye...genetics!

For many years, Bob was a partner in a company that composed music for television commercials and for theater, including pieces that are in the permanent collection at MOMA in NYC.

I painted through it all, but only let the world in a few years ago.
